I think Jungle is far superior on many different levels.

Thoughts?

Jungle gets the crowd more into the show from the start. Cd works though , but I think would be a better opener for the encore.

We'd like to get a sample of your brain tissue.

That's actually a great idea, and I had never thought of that. CD is great for anticipation and gets the crowd going, but after that it doesn't hold up as an opener. I think an encore is fantastic placement for it.

The biggest problem with Cd as an opener for the show is that not enough people know the fucking track.

It's one of the best on CD, however it doesn't sound like GnR to the average listener and that turned off so many people.

my only vote for it being the opener is i think its a good gesture coming out with the new and since its the CD tour, making it about the album and the new band.

Metallica opens with new stuff, AC/DC does, etc. I see no problem with it. GNR opened the encore with CD at the Chicago show a few years back. Nothing like an unreleased song to start an encore, which is often meant to be the most crowd energizing part of the show. I think it works better as show opener than encore opener, personally.

Two scoops of The GNR Syndicate in my morning coffee helps to keep me regular.

Jungle is probably the best opener because it has such high energy and is one of their most recognizable songs.

Personally, I'd like to hear Shackler's as an opening song.

CD works as an opener cause really, with that long ass intro... opener prob is where it works best.. cause the opening builds anticipation.

I like the song.. just don't really find it to be "single" material.. when u think about radio and that long intro, the vocals stay kinda low and im not sure how relatable the subject matter is.

Why does it have to be one set song as an opener? Change it up. As much as I enjoyed all the shows in '06, there wasn't much of a mystery what was going to be played and that took some excitement out of the experience for me.
